New to FI tech, won't idle or start right, go street 400hp

Hey everyone. New to this FI tech, so I'll tell you know what I know about the build. The engine is a 1972 318 dodge block, edelbrock power package top end. The cam is advertised duration at 308*/318*. Lobe separation 112* and intake centerline at 107*. Advertised vacuum at 10". Fi tech told me the cam setting would be between 2 and 3.  Neither one has helped. I've had 2 different throttle bodies on the engine. The first one, after playing with it, taking advice from videos, I got it to idle with the IAC set at 6. But it wouldn't accelerate. Customer was in a hurry, so I gave it to him and told him that he needed to drive it. That it would cough, sputter, etc, until the ecu went thru the "learning". Well, he was back the next day, won't accelerate. Yeah, he's being one of those I want my truck yesterday. We got another throttle body due to a problem that the guy caused, and now, this one won't start without holding the throttle open with the pedal. I did the throttle adjustment screw procedure, per fi tech's instructions, still the same problem. I installed a fuel command center in the truck and it has good pressure, 55ish psi. Also installed an MSD efi ignition control unit, MSD distributor and blaster coil. I just checked all of my wiring, and is good. Smoke tested the exhaust to check for leaks. Once I do get it started, it blows all kinds of gray smoke, runs super rich, starts bogging, then dies when I let off of the gas pedal. The blue wire I read about, is that the tach output wire? I do not have it shielded, just loomed it in some plastic loom and vacuum hose.  Is there any place to get some starting adjustments to make with the controller? This is the second set of plugs I've put in it, getting ready for a 3rd set. The carburetor is starting to  sound better, only because of time restraints. Thanks in advance

One setting I've been playing with is the prime shot, but hasn't helped yet. I've tried it at 110, 100, 50, and 0

For what it's worth, I would highly recommend remote fitech tuning service.  He won't charge you until you're happy with it.  It definitely helped me with my meanstreet 800, and my engine only has 5" Hg idle vacuum.

Thank you! I could see how it would be totally worth it to use his custom tuning. Compared to the time I'm losing at work to get this thing to run to what he charges is dirt cheap. That's basically an hour and 15 minutes of clock time. Thank god I'm on salary or I'd be applying for some sort of welfare this month. Going to check some minor details on the truck, pull the plugs, clean them, and go from there.

I would also recommend getting the IAC steps setup good, because if you change that later, it will greatly effect the tune for everything else.  Make sure you get front and rear butterflies opened the same amount at idle.

It may be an issue with the vacuum sensor.

Check to see if your vacuum is changing with blip of the throttle. IF NOT then the orange rubber seal has to be trimmed.

The vacuum determines engine load and it will stall at idle and/or off idle but still run like a raped ape over 2000rpms

It is under the front cover near the bottom. Best to take the throttle body off and flip it over, The wires are resistant to change so keep teasing it until it comes apart. Here are the photos I got from FiTtech.
