New to fitech, im having issues. help me not feel stupid.
so im new to fitech. Ive worked with alot of fuel injection systems in the past but recently got this system for my newest build. I have a fitech efi8 power adder on my 427ci yates small block ford. Its also running a 88mm ball bearing turbo. Im having all kinds of issues just getting any tuning to change in the system at all. Ive done hours and hours of research and cant figure out if my system is faulty or im just not doing somthing correctly. Just to list a few of my issues that im not understanding.
1. my fans are enabled and temperatures set correctly but will not send a ground signal to my relay nor will they ever show "on" in my datalog.
2. my timing stays at 13° base timing even with it enabled no matter what adjustments i make in my handheld.
3. My idle will not learn or adjust. Ive followed all the steps i can find through instructions, fourms, and even you tube. My steps will not go below 170. My rpm just climbs.
4. My afr isn't adjusting at all no matter what changes i make in the handheld. Ive tried all 4 cam profiles, maxed out every setting i can find or understand with no changes. Im extremely rich from 80kpa down to idle and anything over 90kpa i instantly go lean.
4. My pro efi software will not work at all. Ive installed the driver and i get it to connect to all 3 laptops ive tried. I get my live dash gauges to display but all the cal tables are blank. When you click pull cal from ecu the program just crashes. Im able to get my datalogs to pull up but its missing half the parameters that i can see with just the excel file.
Ive spent 4 10 hour days on the dyno during this stay at home order. Just trying everything i can think of to get everything working. Ive even started from sctrach with the cal files like 6 times. No changes. It starts great, idles good but extremely rich like 9:1. Seems to operate well under 4000 rpm and 25% on the tps but no learning is occurring and no adjustments are changing any results. As far as i can tell all my settings are correct for learning and everything. With my accel pump settmaxed out i still go lean when i push it past 25% on the tps.
Im at a loss.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Im really hoping someone can make me feel dumb at this point because all i can think of is try for a replacement unit.

Who did your installation, and did they follow the ritual of grounds and battery connections?
I did the wiring myself. im super anal about wiring. Everything is done very nice all the ignition and sensor wires are shielded separately. All Deutch connections no splices everything has its own ground post with stainless bolts.

What I mean is did you connect your fitech power wire directly, I mean directly to the battery, not to the starter, for example? Did you physically ground the fitech body? Are you getting at least 11 volts at the battery positive terminal while cranking the engine over?
Yes sir everything is grounded and powered correctly. Have 12.1 volts cranking. All the issues im incountering seem to be software related. I emailed fitech a week ago but still no response.
Ive read there is a firmway update that allows you to change coolant temp calibration which i definitely anyway. Im wondering if that wont resolve my issues. Im really starting to narrow down to my files are corrupt. I just cant locate the files i nees to try and with no response from fitech i think im about screwed.
