New to Forum and Fitech
Quote from leelee on August 12, 2020, 8:09 pmQuote from flatbill on August 12, 2020, 8:47 amYou should have at least a 180 thermostat and maybe even a 190 to run efficiently.
It does around town but on the open highway with cool winter air its around 170-180 ish on the gauge but the fitech is way out as you recently alluded to. Its a slant 6 engine and some of them had 160 thermostats fitted from factory. I might have to pull mine out to see what its running.
Is the ACDelco 213-928 a direct replacement for the original fitech temp sensor>
Cheers

FYI i got the car back and took it for a drive. There is approx 40F discrepancy between fitech and aftermarket gauge and booth sensors are within 1 inch of each other. I have ordered a replacement ACDelco.
