Another thing I am hearing is getting the correct of the 4 base calibrations installed.  Not sure what is different for each one.  On the Throttle Body units there is just options for 8,6,4 cylinder base calibrations.  I wish I had an LS unit.

hello again I seem to be having this same issue ive already located my pos wires directly to battery the engine was running before so I believe the crank and cam sensors are good I am show4 cyl under calibrations but could not change any ideas ?

How are you trying to change?  You want to send a calibration to ECU.  Choose the Cal and send.

I also had a no spark situation with my system when it was new. I had everything dead nutz on and triple checked as you do.

On a call with Fitech support they walked me through the various programs for different engine setups. They had me choose one and save it, do a little dance and I had spark.

I'm up and running but I do need to do more tuning so I'll be calling them again.

I do think your cranking speed is a little low but it is an indication that the crank sensor is reporting and being seen by the ECM. If not, you won't see cranking RMP.

Nothing pertaining to the transmission will prevent fuel and spark and system running.

I have the same No Spark issue.  What did Fitech support tell you to do.  I am to the point of disconnecting all wiring and starting from scratch.  Here is what I currently have

  • Large red wire connected directly to the battery
  • Both ground wires connected to the block
  • The "pink" "Key" wire is connected to the + Battery
    • Wanted to make sure it was hot during run and crank. Temp only for testing.
  • Fan one connected as ground to fan relay.  (Only one fan)

While cranking, I do not see any rpm on the handheld.

Any Suggestion?

Update

I downloaded a new base tune and then went through another Initial Setup and now the system has spark.  it will hit on about every 3 rpm of the engine.  Almost like surging, but never fully starts.  Seems to backfire a little if you continue to hold the key in the crank position for 8 to 10 seconds.

Suggestions

After going over all my connections many times still found no issue with electrical.

The hand held would display a low crank speed

- display was 70 and actual photo tach on damper was 170rpm.

- fuel pump would cycle

- was able to save and read ecu changes

- had solid keyed power at coils

The only thing left was to check the fitech side, cut open the factory assembled  plug and the spark/rpm wires from ecu were not connected.  Fixed the plug and it fired right up.

Thanks for the feedback.  I am going to pass this along to Fitech.  Full harnesses are fairly new to the Fitech product line.  Seems there may be a few glitches to work out.  Keep us updated....

I am having the same issues as you stated you had. What color were the wires that were not connected?
