Poor gas mileage
Installed 600 a few years ago on an amc 360 remanufactured engine. Runs good but poor mileage 7.5-9 mpg. Supposed to be 11-13 originally with stock 2 barrel carb. I thought FI would help and it seems it should but it doesn’t.
I run MSD 6al, MSD wires and MSD distributor phased with ignition control (I think). With an in tank pump from Novak. I think it was a Delphi. Gapped my plugs to .50.

Just looking for a 30 second idle log at operating temp. If all looks good, we can move forward with getting that mileage up.
Btw. I get 14mpg in my 67c10 with 350 and a healthy cam. My daily driver.

Log looks really good. And your commanded AFR should be close. Have you tuned any on the AFR?

Tune to what? And which ones? I’m not sure. I tried before but it maxed out and wouldn’t let me set one of them lean all the way. I reset it a few times since then, changed he o2 sensor, can’t wrap my head around Pwm, changed out the vibration damper, I can’t recall it’s been about a year and I just learned it all. It also pulses when I start it hot for about ten seconds lot of the time.

I’m not really frust4ated all that bad, it runs good been driving for bout 10,000 miles now. Starts as it should. Doesn’t die. Can pass others on the hwy.
only one minor thing like I mentioned was a pulsing fluctuation when you first start it after it’s warmed up for about ten seconds.
Is that what you mean?
