Procal Install Issue

I tried installing the Procal Install on a Win10 64 bit desktop and a Win7 32 bit desktop. I disable Norton 360 and Run the setup.exe file as administrator. I select OK to modify hardware, the mouse pointer spins for 10 seconds and nothing happens? I check the Norton Security History and nothing is being Blocked? Has anyone installed it on a Win 10 PC? The install files are very old and the document refers to Win XP. That's a 2001 Win operating system. Doesn't FiTech have an updated Procal Software for modern Win OS Systems?

I've given up on installing Procal software on my Desktop PC. I found an old Gateway laptop with Win XP and it installed with no problems. Next, I will be to install K line driver and try communicating to handheld.

Same issue here with windows 11. Just acts like the installer is going to start but never does. In task manager i see the installer sitting there idle. Tried compatability mode for various versions of windows, windows admin etc etc.

You need to disable User Access Control. It may work. Below are the instructions. If it installs successfully, you may need to run the program in compatibility mode and as a administrator.

Here's how to turn User Account Control (UAC) on or off in Windows 10 and later:

  1. Type UAC in the search field on your taskbar. (If the search field isn't visible, right-click the Start button and choose Search.)
  2. Click Change User Account Control settings in the search results.
  3. Then do one of the following:
    • To turn UAC off, drag the slider down to Never notify and click OK.
    • To turn UAC on, drag the slider up to the desired level of security and click OK.
  4. You may be prompted to confirm your selection or enter an administrator password.
  5. Reboot your computer for the change to take effect.
