Revs dont drop during gear changes.

Hello Guys, wondering if you could help me.

My Go Street 400 has been running great for about 2 years now. The only issue I have is sometimes the revs don't drop when I come off the throttle during gear changes. I can press the clutch pedal and the revs will stay constant and not drop until I blip the throttle, engine speed will then drop back to idle. I suspected a tight throttle linkage but have proved this to be nice and free. I checked the TPS and whenever I release the throttle it drops back to 0.0 almost instantly but the engine revs still stay high until I blip the throttle.

My IAC steps are around 3 to 5 at warm idle. Decel open IAC was at -20 but I dropped it to -50 but it hasn't helped any. Loop rate up is 50 and loop rate down is 40.

Any ideas guys? I am going to data log the problem next time I drive the car if anyone would like to take a look?

Many thanks for any help you can give,

Alan

Loop Rate down is the adjustment for this issue.  The IAC opens when throttle is applied.  Increasing the speed it closes brings your idle down quicker.  Higher value equals faster close.....

Also, for better throttle response after shift, disable the DFCO.  Increase the enable temp of DFCO to maximum.

Thanks for the reply Austin.

I already have DFCO cut map and return map disabled as I have them set at 5, I have a manual trans and the engine was cutting out when coming to a stop.

If I increase the loop rate down value, do I also need to increase the loop rate up value? I read somewhere that these two parameters need to be kept in the same ratio to each other !?!

I never have messed with loop rate up......

I took my car out for a 250mile drive yesterday and it ran absolutely flawlessly!!

Didnt have the sticking at high revs issue at all. I was going to datalog when I was having the problem but it just didnt happen.

Fingers crossed the problem has gone but if it returns, I'll try and capture it on a datalog.

Many thanks,

Alan
