runlog/idle surge
new runlog after install of new handheld software. looking for tips and any setting changes I could make to stop the surging at first cold startup.

Looks real good. Next step would be to lean out the idle AFR. They default to the rich side as a precaution. When at operating temp, adjust your idle AFR for best idle quality and vacuum. Fine tune by plug read.
This may clear up your cold idle surge. After you get the AFR adjusted, share a log of surging warm up if it still happens.

New Runlog after changing the Idle AFR, seems happy at 14.1. About 85-90% better with cold start surging however didnt have an high idle on initial start. was trying to idle at around 850-950 RPM an seems to loadup. IACs jumped higher so will address that as well...

Looks good. Your adjustments will change with IAC steps after changing AFR targets. No worries. I am looking at your Voltage though. It is about a full volt less than I would expect. Try putting a meter on the output of your alternator next time you are running it. See if it matches the handheld.
Cold start run log. Surges until heat soaked, then seems to run fine. IACs jump up and down. Doesn't settle at target idle AFR. seems to load up then lean itself out. I have a good shield on the tac wire. could use some help as I really want this to be an easy startup and go car. shouldn't have to wait 10 minutes before it settles down...

Drove around about 30 miles yesterday (30 July)run great after warmup. It does seem the engine runs at a higher RPM or takes awhile for rpm's to decrease and return to idle while costing to a stop. Any suggestion?

In the idle control menu, increase the value of IAC loop down rate. This will bring the engine to idle quicker.
