save my sanity
Quote from tjacquillard on July 3, 2019, 5:42 pmI purchased this unit on 5May19 and have yet to figure this out. My unit runs fine when cold, but after driving around 5-10 miles the unit starts hesitating bad and stalls when at an intersection under brake. I can reset it to default V8 settings and then it will do fine for around another 10-20 miles and then it does it again. What can I do? What should I look for? I have good vacuum 12-15 at idle, and I have checked the fuel filters several times with no issue. I am running the inline fuel pump with return line back to my stock tank in a 1941 Chevy Pickup. The fuel system is vented (I have even tried with the cap off).I need help before I go insane. I am new to this and need much help.Tom

Quote from tjacquillard on July 4, 2019, 8:06 amI cannot tell you all the details of the engine since it was in the truck when I bought it. It is a late 80s truck engine. 350 SBC with edelbrock intake, regular distributor with MSD blaster coil. No other timing controls. simple system! I had to use an adapter from spreadbore to square bore due to the intake, so I will check to make sure I do not have a vacuum leak. But my vacuum seems pretty steady.
I did read on another post that the return line is supposed to be submerged under the fuel level in the tank. Mine is not, I just put the fitting on, so I will try that. I think they were mentioning that this helps with pressure through the pump.
Any other ideas, I am open. I also need to know how to use this controller to collect data and error codes. I am a novice to this.
