Tapping on the surge tank may fix major problem.
I had a problem with my 400hp FiTech system. Kept dying unless I keep the revs above 2500. Handheld everything is ok. But some kind of fuel starvation. Trickle a little down the throat and kept running. Talked with a local shop and he suggested I tap on the surge tank. He saw problems with other FiTech cars and he thinks there is a float inside that sticks.
I tapped and the car now runs! But it is still a little wonky. Died on the road. Same problem would not run unless over 2500rpm and no power. Got out tapped it and perfectly started and took me home. Maybe there is another fix but he suggested that I get rid of the surge tank. He has a better long run fix, but his shop is closed for the evening

I'm not a fan of these. Seem to add a level of complexity to the install. If you don't have a filter before this unit - you may have debris entering it.
Options:
- If you are brave - take the top of the unit & check for debris, sludge, etc... Clean thoroughly with carb cleaner - re-assemble.
- Remove the unit & go with either a quality inline pump or switch to an in-tank pump.
That is a hyper fuel product, not Fitech. The previous CEO owned hyper fuel and the 2 companies had a partnership. That CEO was fired in 2019 and alliance’s severed. Partly to do with the horrible products hyper fuel provided.
Since, Fitech has designed and produced their own surge tank. Force Fuel. It is superior to nearly anything on the market and is my go to when an in tank pump is not an option.
I thought that generation of hyper fuel surge tank did not have a float, but my memory may be wrong. If it were my car, I would remove the entire fuel system. Anything that was included in that kit. Hyper fuel surge tanks, hose, filters, clamps, etc. were all junk. Have seen some fires from their products.
