TBI return springs

The return springs are very stiff, I have 1200 pa system with two units and throttlecable is really getting a hard time. Anyone have a solution to get the springs to be not so heavy? Disabled the front unit spring, but the secondary spring is still very stiff. Also a question does anybody tried to have the secondary open much later than primary?

Great question. I just picked up one of these units used, and noticed the throttle return spring is VERY stiff. I guess it gets them off the hook for the liability of the throttle hanging open, but that spring is a little crazy. Can't image the vacuum driven cruise control in my old car will e able to pull against that. Hopefully someone has some thoughts on this.
