Timing Examples

I have a 1999 Corvette LS1 stroked to 383 running in a 1991 Jeep Wrangler.  I cannot get it to stay cool.  When you run the jeep, the temp will slowly creep up to 220 to 230.  Even though I have a 180 deg thermostat and the fans come on at 180.  Even when it is hot, if you just lt it idle, the temp will not come down.

I bought a larger radiator, installed an electric Meziere 55gpm pump.  I took the LS6 243 heads off to make sure the head gaskets are installed correctly. Nothing made any difference.

Last week, I added a bunch of timing, grasping at straws. It helped some.  It now takes longer to get to the 220 range and when you do, if you let it idle, the temp will slowly go back down to the 190's.  I know I a small step, but I was glad to see it.

I am hoping others will post their timing setups.  I really don't know where to start.  the initial calibration left a some things out that I had to contend with just to get it started and I am concerned that the initial timing in the calibration is not correct.  If I have others to look at that have a good running LS, that would give me a good starting point.

Can you post some photos of the fan and radiator setup? Also a shot from the grill side.

When you're driving on the highway at highway speeds, does it continue to get hotter or does it settle at an acceptable temperature?
