TPS sticking
Quote from Deleted user on December 4, 2017, 1:15 pmAnyone having this problem? My TPS will read over zero at random times. I have checked throttle linkage, not hanging. Sometimes it the TPS reading will go up during idle. I can start the truck, never touch throttle, and find a high idle a few minutes later. Check handheld and it will show 0.5 to 2.5 TPS reading. Turn the key off, let ecu turn off, turn key on and have anywhere from 0 to 2.5 on TPS. Sometimes it takes a few cycles to get the reading to 0. I changed the TPS sensor 6 months ago. It seemed to correct the problem, but has slowly came back.

Quote from Deleted user on July 22, 2018, 1:43 pmDon't have part number on hand. Same as a 89 camaro 305 tbi. Take yours off to compare at store. Some will say the LT1 sensor works, but it does not fit.

Quote from ray on July 22, 2018, 7:22 pmMy TPS hung below the base of the throttle body and would bind when you bolted it down.
had to cut the gasket out to clear the tps..
Forgot to add I changed to an apx. .050 gasket and sanded the bottom of the TPS to make mine clear..
