Trans issue?
Awsome news to hear about this page!!....car sits and idles fine, i have 5.3 and 4l60e outa a suburban that ran great....when i put it in gear the car shuts off....well it dies not like i cut off ignition....so i thought i had it in the wrong setting....so i went and put it in the non electronic trans mission option...well the car is able to drive but only stays in Low gear....guy at Fitech emailed me that i have to put it the other way but that way the car just dies....
When it dies, does it feel like forgetting to release the clutch on a standard? I wonder if the TCC (Torque Converter Clutch) is engaged. I have never worked with the Trans controls. Just a thought that came to me.
Hey. I’m way late to the party but that happened to me. Was as simple as not picking the right trans in the menu. Nice and easy. Also, you can definitely get that connector on turned around. That will also be an issue
