Unable to send changes to ECU
I have had my fitech for a few years now. Changed out my engine and initially I was having issues where it wouldn't idle properly. I tried to make changes to the settings in the handheld and send them to ECU, turn off the key, wait 30 seconds, and when I go back in, the changes are not there. No matter what I do, I cannot get the ECU to accept the changes. No error, just doesn't work.
I even tried changing the .inf file manually for the default cal and then send to the ecu through the hand held and it still will not take the changes.
I called fitech and tech support told me to update to the T198i firmware, which I did, but now I can't even start my car because the default setting is for Tach timing, and I have a locked out distributor and need it to be set to 2Wire, but because it won't accept the changes I can't even start my car now.
Any suggestions from anyone?
