wires gettin HOT HOT HOT

well I am running the hyper fuel setup with the power adder dual fitech on a 871 blown 545 ci engine and within just a few minute my wires on the relay  are getting way to hot melting fuses I am running a 40 amp relay from my bat 12v I have 10g wire to a fuse holder then to the relay (that is getting hot) I have a 10g ground (its fine) I have the fitech tech trigger wire (its fine) and I have the the hyper fuel wire from the relay to the hyper fuel unit ( it is getting hot just after the relay) then the orange wire goes to the both of the hyper fuel pumps  /// I have replaced the relay/// wiring// connectors/// and verified a good clean tight ground/// should I just put the hyper fuel pumps on there own independent basic circuit wired to the battery

You might give that a try.  You are the only one I know using that fuel system.  I know that one 340 lph pump requires a 40 amp relay.  So, 2 would be double.

well I spoke to fitech today and they said those pumps are supposed to pull 12 amps ? that being said with what I have for wiring and the 40 amp relay is more than enough but heat in my experience on the positive side equates to a high amp draw and poor ground usually result in low voltage limiting what you are running I asked if they should be on there own circuit with splitting the trigger wire out of the fitech computer tripping two different relays on there own power supply, they said  no so they decided to send me two replacement pumps but before I switch those pumps I still believe as you state they pull more than 12 amps each its not my wiring the ground or the relay I replaced it all with larger wire better ground higher amp relay the only things that are the same is the fitech trigger wire and the wire going to the pumps that's also supplied by fitech thus leaves the pumps they are in fact bad or like you said they pull way more than 12a and need there own 40a circuit we will see and I will let every one know

You will find that I am very consistent with my opinion on Fitech accessories.   Their efi units good, but I see too many problems with their sensors and fuel delivery systems.  Can't say they are all bad, but never recommend.

I hope to get some answers and/or updates on this subject when I meet them at SEMA.

well fitech sent me two new pumps but..... I installed two independent 60 amp relays and increased the wire gauge they seem to fine now and btw car is 99 percent complete  going to tidy up a few things and actual take it on its maiden voyage did you ever get to sema or has that happened yet, will you put up a sema category or thread can you upload videos here

Great to hear.  Can't wait to see some updates.

We did go to SEMA.  It was massive.  I was in such overload that I didn't get hardly any pics or videos.  The guys at Fitech were awesome.  I met everyone except Ken, one of the owners.  I have since met with them at their headquarters in California.  Had a great meeting and talks have started of a possible relationship.  Don't worry, I am not giving up control of the site.  They like the idea of us remaining separate. I will update as I can.

I hope you have solved your hot wire problem with the separate circuits.  I had a similar issue with a hot MSD box recently. Turned out to be a ground issue.

Here are two videos from SEMA.  Probably the best story of the week.  At least a story I can tell.😁

This car is my friend Brent Hajek.  He had his Cobra Jet in the Ford booth outside.  It is the original car that won the Winternationals in 1968.  I believe I have the year right.  He was anxious to leave, we did not get the chance to bring the bus and trailer.  He decides to drive the car 3 miles, down Las Vegas Blvd, to the RV lot.  No tag, no exhaust and very little fuel.  This thing is not a pump gas car!!!! Oh yeah and it was Friday afternoon rush hour.

We tried to follow him in the rental car, but got separated.  Finally caught up them at the bus.  Brent then proceeded to tell me how stupid that was.  I could have told him that before he pulled out.

Brent is a great friend and a lot of fun.  There are a lot more videos on his YouTube channel.  Hajek Motorsports.  He has several land speed records,  a whole bunch of Wally's and restored race cars all over the country.  And he is just like you and me....
