Won't start.
I have a power adder 1200 on top of my 454 with 871 blower. Initially started immediately on first crank everytime. It was great. Idle was good. On 5th start and longest run (10 minutes total run time) idle started to increase and drop then went real high(lean) and died. It has not started since.
What I know.
I have 12 volt power all the time, timing, air, and fuel pressure at constant 62lbs. Turn on fitech and I hear the injectors initial prime shot.
The problem is the fitech is not adding fuel. The prime shot is a dry with no fuel. During cranking, no fuel from fitech. If I poor gas into fitech, engine fires immediately and dies. Fitech refuses to send fuel.
I have a return line to fuel tank. I have not checked to see if fuel is returning.
Any ideal what could be the problem?
If the unit does not see RPM, it will not fit the injectors. Do you see RPM on the handheld during crank?
Doesn't need rpm for initial shot when ignition is turned on. It does see RPM when trying to crank.
You are correct on the Prime Shot. Had to ask though.
Do you have a fuel pressure gauge?
How is your fuel system set up?
Fuel cell, holley 12-1800 inline pump, fitech, return to fuel cell.
62 lbs. constant pressure.
The holly is a dual pump system where each pump can be controlled independently. I will eventually have the Fitech control the 2nd pump but for now just have a single on/off switch turning both pumps on.
Process for startup.
Turn on master power. Dual batteries which are charged. Also usually connected to a running car to keep voltage around 13 to ensure proper voltage.
Turn on switch fuse panel power.
Turn on fuel pump so pressure builds for prime shot.
Turn on MSD/Coil/fitech
Wait for prime shot.
Hit starter.
If prime shot is wet, immediately fires all temps.
Currently no fuel from Fitech so nothing happens.
Poor in fuel, immediate fire and die because no fuel from Fitech to keep running.
Fitech also controls ignition which is working great.
No pressure gauge. Using Fitech internal. Reads 0 lbs first attempt after a few days if I turn on Fitech before fuel pumps. Immediately goes to 62 lbs when fuel pumps are turned on. Will hold 60 lbs for a little while after pumps turned off. Not sure how long.

If possible, it would be good to see a datalog during crank. This should show us something.
Any resolution to this I have the same issue...
My issue ended up being a dirty fuel filter. There was a bunch of paper inside my fuel cell. It dissolved in the gas and clogged my fuel filters.
