Cold start idle
Quote from copterdoc on February 18, 2019, 7:27 amI have a fairly new install (4 months). Very happy with the product. EFI go pro 600 on a chevy 502/t56 combo. The long issue I have not been able to sort out is the cold idle. On startup the car will not idle above 400 rpms and dies without me applying throttle. Once it hits 180 degrees idles at 950 as st and performs flawlessly. Have adjusted cold start fuel with no impact.

Ok for datalog, there plenty videos out there that shows this process. I need to do one myself. When I have the time...
Download the Dropbox app to your laptop. Open a free account. Copy the datalog to your Dropbox and then share as a link. It will give you the option to Copy the link. Paste that link into your next comment on this topic.
If you already have cloud, you can use that too.

Quote from bdhulderman on February 27, 2019, 7:59 pmAustin, I realize this log is pretty long, but I wanted your opinion on why the idle is so erratic on the wife's car when cold. The end of the log the idle balances out. What the heck is going on with it?

Sorry, misunderstood. When the engine is running, push the toggle down on the handheld. It will say "Datalog On" on the handheld, or something like that. When done logging push the toggle again for stop. Shut off engine and wait for Fitech to power down. Then unhook the handheld and connect to your laptop using the supplied USB cable. An external drive will show up on your computer. Open the log file and find the datalog.

Have you tried adjusting your afterstart enrichment? Try lowering your value in that temp range. See if it cleans up.

Quote from bdhulderman on February 27, 2019, 9:03 pmYeah, it seems a little better now, I'll see how it acts when I first fire it up in the morning to take it to work on my virtual Friday. Thanks!

Quote from bdhulderman on February 28, 2019, 7:48 amYes it idles much more steady now in park. It always idled nicely in gear. One thing that erks me a little is that I can never fire it up the first try when it's cold, but on the second try it always starts. I've tried raising the cranking IAC, prime shot, fuel mult, etc. with no luck. When it's not first thing in the morning, it always starts on first try.
