Cold start idle

Yes it idles much more steady now in park.  It always idled nicely in gear.  One thing that erks me a little is that I can never fire it up the first try when it's cold, but on the second try it always starts.  I've tried raising the cranking IAC, prime shot, fuel mult, etc. with no luck.  When it's not first thing in the morning, it always starts on first try.

My pickup is similar.   Just not around enough right now to get into it.  If it fires and dies then fires on second crank, I would look at the Prime fuel being too much.  Have you tried disabling the Prime fuel and then adjusting the crank fuel?

Many don't like the Prime fuel feature.  Fuel can pool and give erratic starts or rough rich initial idle.  Set to -100 to disable.

Yeah, it doesn't seem like it's getting too much fuel, because the second try injects more fuel in, and it starts fine.  It doesn't fire up and then die either.  I can try what you are suggesting to see if that makes any difference.  It's not a huge deal for me, just a little irritating.

It may not be firing on first try because it is too rich.....  Needs to crank a bit to clear out.  Prime shot can be a pain sometimes..

Unless you are cycling key to off before trying 2nd crank, then you could be getting a 2nd prime shot.  Thus, there isn't enough cranking fuel.

yes, so I am cycling off to get the extra shot, so I need to keep bumping up the cranking fuel, or the prime shot amount?

I would recommend increasing the crank fuel in that temp range.

This is interesting.  Im not seeing anything in the log.  The only correlation I see is that soon as your coolant temp went from 78 to 80 your problems started.

Have you confirmed the coolant temp sensor is reading properly at operating temp?
