Coolant Temp Sensor adjustment

Page 1 of 3Next

Fitech has provided a new update that gives the user control of the Coolant Temperature Sensor.  Many of us have run into this issue of the CTS not reading the same as your Temp Gauge.  The solution has been to replace with a Delco sensor, but now Fitech has given us an option.  Instructions on using this feature have been provided in the Instructions and Procedures section of this forum.  I am working on getting the Software Update and will provide in a new Update section.

Hey Austin, which model is getting this update?  All?  I checked the Fitech site - they have no information on updates.

The latest update is still the 198i version.  Only difference is the CTS adjustment menu.  If your sensor is reading correctly, then no reason to update.

in morning when i want to start my engine  i check coolant temperature and show me -12 or a little lower or  more than -12  but this is wrong temp because my area temp is about 5c but in fitech is lower

then  when engine is warm and thermostat is open coolant temp  is about 80 (my thermostat is 76c) i think hot temp is correct bur cold temp is wrong !

what do i do ?

my fitech is 30003

Why does it take so long to get  products from Fitech? I ordered a black hose and fitting kit in January and they say it'll be another 4-6 weeks!!!!!!!!

I do not have the answer to that.  I and this website are not affiliated with Fitech.

I currently have speedhut gauges.  I’m glad I read this as my fan is controlled by the Fitech.  It turns on at 190F.  I thought that was accurate but now I’m second guessing.  My speedhut gauges are reading 100c (212F) when my fans turn on.  I thought my gauge was calibrated incorrectly but looks like my Fitech is wrong!!!
