Fuel Pump Problems

PreviousPage 3 of 3

yup went out today started the car and it ran great,,,,,,,, pffft lol so I let it get to  normal temp 190 and I put it in gear, and holding the brake I applied some throttle and I felt that same stumble or seemed like a erratic slight miss, no specific rhythm or pattern to it, and a couple of times it seemed to bog down in park, but the idle came back but my fuel pressure out of both pumps from the hyper fuel was a steady 40 psi, so I am going to install my spare msd coil, and my spare msd distributor pickup, and for the hell of it I will install my spare ignition box, and I will put in a good set of double platinum plugs, the wires are still new also they are taylor 8.8 wires one thing I know for sure is it is a heat soak issue of something, because car ran great at first start the throttle bodies do have a 1" plastic spacers under them, and all the fuel lines are about 2" from any heat source, like the blower case, now once I change out my whole ignition system, and it still does it I will be more than likely going to the avs 1912 carbs, and if so I will be very disappointed in the fitech sys, I have about $3000.00 in it total so far in the whole fuel system, ill let you know what the results are after the part swaps, I am going to start on that tonight........

My "PUMP" problem got fixed with a ground wire to car body and throttle body. This is your ground to pump. Caused my no start problem when battery was slightly discharged, like using winch. Worked at first then went bad.

To be more clear run a wire to throttle body to body ground. Mine had pump ground to frame this was not sufficient. Have seperate frame and body as in Jeep.

my prob ended up being a o2s but I will put a ground on like that this system loves grounds.
