Need some help, surging idle. Logs included!
Quote from J.Jay10ffs on April 30, 2019, 4:35 pmOk, so I just got home for a few and took a look at the car and may have found my problem. Apparently one of the clips holding my alternator ground broke and so the insulation melted and the bare ground was touching the header. Would this be my problem? I’m going to fix it and try again tonight.

Quote from J.Jay10ffs on April 30, 2019, 8:32 pmMy concern was that even a ground cable (1/0) shorting to ground could cause multiple ground paths causing a ground loop as well as introducing random EMI.

Quote from J.Jay10ffs on May 7, 2019, 6:51 pmOk so here is my latest log for you guys to check out and see if you can give me any insight. Im starting to think I have an exhaust leak that I haven't found yet. It has a very slow surge at idle and even starting to get it in gear now the more I have been driving it. I just really don't trust my afr readings. thanks again for all the continued help!

Quote from J.Jay10ffs on May 8, 2019, 4:35 pmI’m not the greatest at reading plugs, but it does seem a little rich maybe. But when I had AFR at 14.2 it would ping I think. Here’s is a link to plug pictures.

Quote from Deleted user on May 8, 2019, 5:44 pmTry leaning your idle a little and leave your others targets alone. You would need to go pretty lean to ping at idle. Also check your butterflies that they are closing and balanced. A lot of guys having weird issues have found secondaries mis-adjusted.
