Recommended Fuel Pressure
Quote from MuhThugga on November 19, 2017, 2:30 pmI would ground the pump directly to the negative battery post. If someone has an issue with an under-performing pump and it is grounded to the frame, moving the ground to the battery can solve their issues. An unregulated Aeromotive 360 should have no problems delivering well above 60 PSI to the Fitech's regulator. Have you measured the voltage at the pump to ensure it is getting a full 12 volts?
Also, are you supplying fuel to two inlet ports on the Fitech? It looks like your supply line is teed right at the gauge.

That's the same thing I was seeing. I'm afraid his return line may be on an inlet, causing the fuel to free flow. Only restriction is the fuel lines and unit then. No regulator.

Quote from Poncho on November 19, 2017, 4:23 pmI installed a ground hub on the frame, which is attached directly to the battery. That's where the the pump is grounded. I have less than 1 ohm of leakage.
As for the return its on the rear, right where it was installed at the factory. I only changed the feed.
Im going to relocate the gauge as close to the pump as possible and work my way up

Quote from Poncho on November 19, 2017, 4:25 pmJust reluctantly took it for a drive hoping it would straighten itself out. When I really got into the throttle it leaned out all the way. At cruise it was 15-16 with target of 14.5. Sitting at a light it went to 17.
Ran the get log files. Will send those off.

Quote from Poncho on November 19, 2017, 5:00 pm😲😞 It was the 10 micron filter right before the unit. Fuel pressure pegged after i removed it. Guess i should be happy but for some reason Im disgusted with myself lol

Quote from Poncho on November 19, 2017, 5:12 pmHave it hooked back up to unit again, it jumps past 60 then drops to 40 with key on not running. Im assuming its pumping back to the tank? The pegged out readings where with gauge dead head
Edit: thats a dumb question. The Fitech is dumping the extra fuel at that point.

60psi is pretty close. Does it stay there at idle. Does it drop when you hold throttle at say 2000rpm? Want to make sure it maintains fuel pressure in all conditions.
Don't feel bad. Had similar issue with my first install. I had a low pressure TBI pump on my c10 for a carb. Forgot to change it. Fitech actually ran, not sure how. Not great though.

Quote from Poncho on November 19, 2017, 6:26 pmDriving it now, AFR is spot on or just a hair rich. Im cool with that. Pressure holds nicely. ICS is dialed in and i have a full tank of gas on a sunny day. 😎

Drive it a couple days. Let it learn. Then, if needed, adjust your afr and accel to fine tune.
