Here we go.

Have you tried resetting the system with a new tune? Reset learn values? Updated Software?

Yes I reset to a base tune and no difference, so reloaded my saved tune.

Ill update the software with the file you sent.

How do I reset the learn values?

Thanks

Hi Austin
I thought I had already posted this but cant see it. May have deleted it by mistake.
Please refer to my previous posts.
The car got hot in a ques of traffic and then cut out as if I had turned it off. It cranked over freely but would not start without my foot flat, and then ran very rich and wouldn't idle.

After a tow truck ride home and cold again, the car starts as it should, but looking at the AFR it slowly get richer over about 30 sec and at 10.4 AFR at idle, stalls. When I hold the revs at around 2000rpm it will slowly richen up to the point of running very rough, and will stall as soon as I take my foot off. I disconnected the O2 sensor but no difference.

I put in a new o2 sensor but no difference.

I have downloaded the upgraded soft were for the 39001 2 barrel unit you sent me and uploaded to the fitech . I have  loaded a base tune and reset all learning.
The car started and idled as you would expect.
I drove for about 30 min mostly highway between 50 and 80 miles an hour without any issues.
When I pulled off the highway and drove suburban streets the car started to stall at intersections. it started up easily and ran ok until the next intersection.
After about 10 min if this it would idle ok but would not accelerate away from the intersection, and was very gutless.
If I switched it of let the Fitech power down it would start and run ok for a few min and then no power. It will idle fine but no power when accelerating away. Once up to highway speed it would back fire and be very gutless. It had an IAC fault that I cleared early on in the drive but it made no difference. The fault has not come back.
I have had this unit installed since September 18 and have never had it running as it should for more than a few weeks at a time.
Im just about ready to put a carb back on.
I have done 3 data logs of when it was playing yup and hope you can tell me what is wrong with it. I have sent them to your highwaydreams email.

Any incite would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Mark

Mark, let me think this one over.  I am actually with the Fitech guy's tomorrow at a Goodguy's show.  Give us a chance to brainstorm.

Hi Austin

How did Goodguys go.

Did you get any feedback from Fitech on my issue?

I dont want to give up on Fitech but I have a week log car show in 10 days and need a solution.

Thanks Mark

Target idle is very low and IAC steps are very high.  Try raising idle to 750 and set your IAC to 15.

Hi Austin

I got this answer from Fitech:

The log shows the system is doing its job but I am concerned about how much the EFI is trimming fuel in and out of the learning. This would mean that the engine is going rich and lean according to the oxygen sensor. This is most common with inconsistent fuel pressure and/or exhaust leaks upstream to 18 inches past the oxygen sensor.

I am running a full exhaust and dont have an exhaust leak.

I bought a 60psi fuel pressure gauge and installed it on the high pressure side of the Fitech. Fuel pressure is over 60psi at idle and at revs.

Is this right?

Thanks Mark

By the way I am using a 40015 in tank pump.

I have used a relay close to the pump like the pump install instructions say. I see the Fitech has a built in relay and says no relay is needed. is this ok??
