High idle - high IAC steps

PreviousPage 4 of 4

Heat cycled a couple more times tonight then took a couple of drives. first one about 5 miles, then another later for about 10.

Everything seemed to work as it should. I didn't log, but watched the AFR pretty close. Just need miles now.

The only question I have at this point is the fuel pressure gauge at idle is only 40-45psi. I'm still not sure of the accuracy but that is what it reads. I guess I should watch injector duty cycle next trip to be sure. I've got more pump than I need and its all 10 ga.wire, so there shouldn't be an issue. Also nothing looked out on the logs I sent before (same gauge reading then).

If I remember correctly, you have a 600 unit.  Those run 58psi.

I've put about 150 miles and everything seems to be running well. Starts good cold and hot. Runs good no hesitation or stumbles. Cruising AFR is 14.3-5. WOT goes to 12.6. The only concern is that it is running about 10 degrees hotter than it used to. And maybe 15 in town. 80 degrees today on the drive and got up to 206 in town at stop lights after stopping for fuel. Should I drop cruise AFR to 13.5 to cool it a little?

Adding fuel to cool an engine is the last resort.

just had the same problem with map seal sucking into the sensor causing lean spike and crazy idles. cut the tip of the little red seal and now fixed what hell. i recomend sending log first thing to fitech when problem occurs. i went through hell look into pig rich map and i explained it all so if you have rpm noise code dont assume that what they tell you is correct about your ignition. sent log and work from there. learn from my headaches.
