anyone have any idea what the standard shipping time frame is on getting something from Fitech? it has been over a week i would like to think even the USPS could get something mailed in that time frame.

thanks

Of course it depends on your location.  It took about a week to get product to me here in North Texas.

So over the weekend i got a new handheld from FItech when i was thinking they where only sending out the SD card. I have not reinstalled the unit yet, have a question for the guys running an electric fan from the system. Will the system keep the fan running after shutting the truck off? the way I have the fan set up now when i shut the truck off the fan will run until the temp gets down to the 160°F range then shut down. just wondering if the fitech will do the same thing or if i should leave the fan wired as it is now.

Thanks

No, the fan goes off with the Fitech.  You would need a timed relay or circuit to get your fan to stay on.

Has anyone every had an issue where the fitech unit will not pick up the Tach signal but the tach on the dash does? I reinstalled the unit on my truck but when i crank it over it does not show a RPM so it will not start. I have tried using a shielded wire and just a standard wire with the same result. not sure is this could be caused by an under voltage issue from my one wire alt or if this is something else. any ideas?

Thanks

Charge the battery fully.

Is there any other data when cranking?

everything on the handheld is showing a value just not the RPM. the voltage on the handheld is showing 12.6V when cranking. I am leaning more to a bad wire in the the harness or a bad connection in the plug for the blue wire.

Tap wire on positive post of battery.  See if you get any reading.

You are saying to tap the blue wire on the positive post?

Yes, it will send an RPM signal if wire is good.  Just tap though.....

So i tapped the blue wire on the positive battery post and the RPM jumped up to 175 then back to 0 when i stopped. But i also found out the my alternator was only a 50A one wire. I have swapped it out for a 100A. i am going to be reinstalling that fitech and giving it a shot to see what happens.
