Rich on low rpm cruise

Quote from mkm492 on November 7, 2018, 7:45 pmThanks so much for your post! Is the ground wire part of the loomed bundle, or is supposed to come off the throttle body? I will ensure it's grounded. I have SS shielding sheath I can use for shielding the Tach wire. I usually ground the SS sheath, so I don't see why I can't use it to provide the ground as well. I should be able to have another log Friday after I un-f this. I'm going to wait on the Magnecores before I put in the non resistor plugs. I hope they come tomorrow. Thanks again.

Quote from mkm492 on November 7, 2018, 7:51 pmThanks Austin. From what bdhulderman said, this code would make sense. I'll clear the code before my next log after I shield the tach wire and get a good ground.

Quote from mkm492 on November 7, 2018, 11:39 pmThe tach output from the MSD 6AL (6425) appears to go to the tach, then back to the fitech harness. My plan is to run it shielded directly from the 6AL to the fitech harness, and run a shielded parallel wire from the 6AL to the tach. Will this work, and should I bypass the connectors and take it hardwire as far as I can to the throttle body (shielded)? Also, I plan on running a 14 gauge ground from the throttle body to the to the battery. Thanks

Shielded Tach wire from Fitech to MSD 6AL, and from 6AL to gauge. Grounded sheathing. Ran ground from Throttle bodies (2x4) to battery. Installed red top 34/78 and attached grounds and power to side posts.
Fitech power wire has fuse at throttle body. Shouldn't that be at the battery? Can I put another fuse there, move the one at the throttle body, or just leave it?
If the attached idle log looks good, I'll log a cruise and send it tomorrow. Thanks.

Thanks for all your help.
